Why Yoga? I found yoga as teenager and its continuous presence through my life has supported transformationof my mind, body & spirit in more ways than I can describe. First and foremost yoga taught me howto breathe, consciously & deeply. For me, the practice is much deeper than asanas, or poses, it islike coming home to my highest self. My deepest hope in teaching is to enable my students to feel asimilar sense of support from the practice and it’s teachings.Three words that describe your teaching style:Fluid, inclusive & creative (playful and restorative, too!)Who or what is your greatest inspiration? The community of yogis, health advocates, truth seekers, students & teachers I have the pleasure of interacting with on a daily basis. These people inspire me to love myself deeply. Self-love is the greatest love. Your favorite quote or personal mantra?
Om mani padme hum
My favorite translation being- The lotus flower growing out of the mud is opening. A jewel in the center of the lotus gives out the shining light of compassion, which is connected with the sound of the cosmos, creating cosmic unity.
As a 27 year old, I am still afraid to be home alone at night! (Perhaps I have watched a few too many horror movies…)
