Why Yoga? Honestly, why not yoga! Like a best friend who is always there to listen and love, yoga can be anything I need it to be. It's a powerful breath practice to help me wake up at 6AM, and also a tool to help settle my anxiety when I'm stuck in rush hour traffic. It's the sweaty workout I need to drop out of my mind when it's racing 100mph, and the supportive rest when my back and feet are tired from teaching all day. Yoga isn't really a pose, but more a toolbox for us to draw from. It's the connection between mind and body that reminds us who we are, and allows us to face this chaotic world with a focused mind and an open heart. Three words that describe your teaching style:Authentic, Transformational, Loving Who or what is your greatest inspiration? My inspiration is Indra Devi ! Born Eugenie Peterson of Russia, she was the first woman to break the glass ceiling of yoga and study beneath Sri Krishnamacharya. Known as the mother of Western yoga, Indra Devi invoked lasting social change across the globe that put into motion the idea that the practice of yoga should be accessible to men, women, and children alike. Your favorite quote or personal mantra?"Your life is a sacred journey. It is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous challenges at every step along the way. You are on the path... exactly where you are meant to be right now... And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing, of courage, of beauty, of wisdom, of power, of dignity, and of love." by Caroline AdamsFun fact?I collect Alice in Wonderland books! Life to me is just like tumbling down the rabbit hole; the further we go the curiouser it gets, and the only thing we truly control is how we react to the experiences we're given.
