Winter Solstice Ritual: Welcoming Winter, A Solstice Celebration with Gentle Yoga, Reiki healing and a Circle to shine light on the darkest day of the year!
The winter solstice falls on Friday December 21st. It’s the day with the fewest hours of sunlight in the whole year. In addition, this year there will also be a full moon, so it is extra potent medicine. People around the world have been celebrating the solstice for thousands of years. When we gather in celebration of this season, we are reminded to take time to slow down and honor all that we have, all that we give, and all that we are.
We will begin with a gentle and restorative yoga sequence to turn inward and finish with a guided visualization with shared Reiki circle. There will be time to make notes or journal. Lily Jaser is an experienced guide, reiki practitioner, and yoga instructor. She has studied and apprenticed ancient and shamanic teachings. She holds a Masters degree in Holistic and Somatic Counseling.
OPTIONAL: Feel free to bring a small item of personal relevance, a note, a candle, a small object, something that represents a person or an area of your life that you would like to honor at this time.
